Alder Music Tuition

Welcome to Alder Music Tuition. I provide professional music tuition in the Cardiff area and online. I offer music tuition in Guitar, Drums, Bass Guitar, Piano, Ukelele and Music Theory. I  predominanently base lessons around graded music books and have extensive experience of helping students prepare for graded music exams in various instruments. I find these graded books give a good structure and focus to lessons with attainable goals to work towards. Along with this grade work, in lessons, we often learn other, extra songs alongside this.

About Me

I am Derek Alder and have been playing, performing, teaching, examining and composing music for over 25 years. I  completed a BA in Music Performance through the UHI in 2004 as well as various grade exams in various instruments up to grade 8 level  and have been teaching music privately and at tuition centres for over 15 years.
